Wood
End First School opened on 8th September 1975 on the premises of
Stanton Middle School with Mrs Eileen Starling as the Headteacher.
In
September 1977 the school moved into its own building. Some Entries
in the log book:-
2.6.77
“All
the children enjoyed a jubilee party on Stantonbury recreation ground,
and each child was presented with a Jubilee mug by the PTA.”
3.10.77
“The
school health officer conducted a hygiene examination throughout
the school. One case of headlice was found.”
Wood
End First School Celebrating 25 years

This
is known as the tree of life and was made to commemorate 25 years
of Wood End School and surrounding area. On each leaf there is a
comment made by the pupils about the School.

Mark Wasserberg, the Principle from
Stantonbury Campus cut the ribbon at the grand opening of our new
Foundation outside area canopy and the web site going live.
