Pre-school has been established for 35 years and has
grown from a small local playgroup to a Pre-school,
situated within Wood End First School. We are a
community Pre-school, managed by a voluntary committee
comprised mainly of parents of children attending the
Pre-school.
Our staff is dedicated to providing quality care to the
children of the Pre-school. We have a fantastic range of
equipment for inside and outside play to stimulate your
child, encouraging them to learn through play whilst
enjoying their time with us. Attending the Pre-school
also aids the transition of moving up to Wood End First
School for your child as we work closely and enjoy a
good relationship with the school. We also do
transitions with other local schools in the area if Wood
End is not your chosen choice of school.
We take children from the age of 2 and a half years old
to 4 years old and can offer children up to 5 sessions
per week. Funding is available for children from the
term after their 3rd birthday. We charge £7.50 per
session for our unfunded children.
We offer two sessions per day, Monday to Friday; 9am -
12pm and 1.15pm - 4.15pm. There is also a lunch club
available from 12pm-1pm for the morning session and
12.15pm - 1.15 for the afternoon session. Lunch club
costs £2.50 per day.
