Welcome to the
Squirrels Children’s Centre, let me first start by
introducing you to the team, Amanda is the Co-ordinator,
Debbie is the Administrator who runs the office and
offers general support to staff and families, Michelle
is the Senior Family Support Worker who you might know
from Tickford Meadow Children’s Centre, she has lots of
family support and childminding experience , Sharlene
and Elizabeth are Family Support Workers who run the
sessions, offer home visits and support , and Helen is
the Children’s Centre Teacher with lots of school
experience and is happy to give advice on your child’s
educational needs. The Squirrels family are very happy
to offer support and guide you in the right direction,
so feel free to pop in for a chat to find out more about
the centre. Squirrels Childrens Centre has been here for
nearly 3 years and with your support will be around for
many more years to come.

• Baby Massage with Mandy
for babies up to 6 months (pre-wrigglers)
• Baby Signing with Jenna babies from 6-18months
• Stay and play every week
• Messy play every week
• Toddler Time – music and movement session
• MK Springers - soft play session
• Baby clinic support where you can speak to a health
visitor and have your baby weighed in a calm, homely,
safe and fun place.
• Mini-Strikers – sporting fun for children and their
parents
• Great trips – during ½ terms and school holidays
• Breakfast club – run with Wood End School from
8-8:45am for £1
• Parent and Toddler Groups
• Half term family fun

• First Aid for parents
and carers – basic first aid course with free book
• Squirrels support for parents looking for work or a
course
• Antenatal classes – run by our friendly midwife for
expectant parents
• Caring Squirrels – for Childminders
• Teen Squirrels – stay and play for young parents
• Dads Zone – for father figures, runs monthly on
Saturday morning and will be running weekly on Fridays
from January 2011.

• Smoking Cessation advice and support
• Housing Support with Sue
• Special Squirrels – additional needs group
• Parents say – tell us your views and what you want to
happen in your children’s centre
• Coming soon – Hoop dance for parents of all ages,
sizes wanting to have fun!!!

We run weekly sessions at
Giffard Park Community Centre and at Willen Pavillion,
all sessions are free and we welcome families that live
in one of the above estates. The Centre in Stantonbury
is small but perfectly formed with a main activity room,
fully fitted kitchen area, 2 disabled access toilets and
a designated outdoor space to extend children’s learning
through play activities. Squirrels Children’s Centre has
grown a lot over the last 3 years and will continue to
grow in supporting children and their families to reach
their full potential. At Squirrels we are famous for
offering great fun activities and support and advice for
all parents in a warm cosy environment where everyone is
welcome. |
